Historical Background
Formed back in 1905, they took their name from The Crystal Palace cast-iron and glass-plate structure in Hyde Park, which included the venue where Crystal Palace played their games up until the First World War.
They have become known as a team that is constantly going up and down the leagues over their history. The term "bouncebackability" was in fact coined by one of their former managers, Ian Dowie, in reference to this fact. However, this is not to say they have always been a neglected team who fights for survival in the top flight, and they have had spells of relative success.
In the 80s and 90s, they were competing for top spots in the upper tier of English football and in 1991, they reached third-place, which remains their best ever finish in the top league. This would have been their first chance in Europe, but unfortunately, they weren’t allowed to compete that year due to the Heysel Stadium disaster.
Outside the league, they have qualified for two FA Cup finals in 1990 and more recently, in 2016, where they lost both times to Man Utd.
Crystal Palace on TV
Crystal Palace games are flocked to by the masses thanks to their loyal supporters and those who can't make it in real life, rarely miss a game via Crystal Palace live stream or by watching Crystal Palace on TV.
While their history hasn't been filled with glory like many other London clubs, their fans' passion has always made Crystal Palace one of the most enjoyable football tv listings, week in, week out. Despite the lack of successes, there is never a dull moment when watching Crystal Palace live streams, Crystal Palace on TV, or live in the flesh.
Stadium
After vacating their namesake stadium in 1914, they moved to Selhurst Park in Croydon. This 26,000 seat stadium has now been the setting for Crystal Palace TV listing for nearly 100 years and holds a special place in Palace fans' hearts.
Crest and Colours
Of all Premier League on tv teams, Crystal Palace is by far the most recognisable and you can spot their red and blue striped shirts from a mile away. Even more so in their away strip, which for many seasons is bright yellow.
Although they have moved on, their logo still depicts their heritage and details an eagle clutching a football perched about the Crystal Palace building where they used to play. The Eagle is where Crystal Palace take their nickname from.
Key Players and Managers
Their current manager is former-England manager, Roy Hodgson, who actually began his playing career at the club. The biggest asset to their team is certainly Luka Milivojevic who is both the Captain and top goal scorer and for fans watching Crystal Palace live streams or Crystal Palace on TV, watching him leading his team to victories is a joy to behold.
Honours, Noteworthy Stats and Memorable TV Moments
The most enjoyable Crystal Palace tv moment for fans in recent years would be their 2016 appearance at the FA Cup final. Although they lost, it broke a 26-year drought of any hint of success as the top level of football.
